While some local spots are walkable, you may prefer a quick drive to reach the area’s top attractions—most are under 10 minutes away. Story itself does not have rideshare or taxi services; however, Sheridan (about 20 minutes away) does. We met the owner and enjoyed our talk. Super nice folks ! We would definitely go back. No significant issues, but double fees for two dogs seems excessive. Smaller than expected. Only one bathroom. When we arrived, almost all of the sheets were soaking wet sitting in the dryer. had we gotten there late at night and wanted to crash immediately, this would have been a much larger issue. However, Michael was very apologetic about this and returned our cleaning fee. Secondly, the owner of the house showed up randomly the first night with his dog smoking a cigarette and drinking beer. He came over to tell us the hot tub wouldn't be ready to use until the next day. he said he'd be back early in the morning to get it ready, but we never sae him before we left to go hiking the next day. All in all not a bad place, just some things that could definitely be improved upon. The "bedroom" with the bunk bed is about the size of the bunk beds themselves, calling it a room is generous. The back area with the Blackstone is a really cool spot to hang out. great location, very quiet and beautiful scenery.
